2014 E350 $15K off MSRP

My friend just recently told me Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach was doing $15K off MSRP on 2014 E350 on their lot. Could this be true?

could be an odd color too. Seems a bit excessive despite the price whoring that they are doing. In my recent purchase/lease, I found that they can discount cars more heavily if its in stock and or it is clearly not moving for whatever reason. that is why I thought it could be oddly optioned or a questionable color. At 15K off you are looking at this :
5000 off for Winter event (purchase) 4K on lease
4000 off which is what most dealers give or about 6% to get them to invoice.
The balance of 6K to get to 15K is still tough, i would imagine that they are giving up any dealer holdback as well which i have heard (no flaming) to be around 4K -

I say find out what the deal is, its very enticing considering i just got 10K off a stock car.

Actually the more expensive the msrp the less percentage off 15k would be.. soo it would be harder to believe they are giving 15k off a base car.

Your friend must be real good customer with them.
I gave my buddy my lease contract from Keyes and FJ refused to match it even when the car was in stock.

What sort of discount did you get on you vehicle from Keyes? Usually FJ is very aggressive in their pricing and will match and/or beat other prices considering the inventory they have. Wonder why your friend was not able to get the deal.

Go to MB of Fort Washington outside of philly .- I am picking my car up on Saturday, driving 75 miles from NJ because the high volume dealer here couldn't come close to their price. Just be realistic with them. I told them upfront I want 10K off a 62.8K car they had in stock, he said yes and we had a deal. These rare and lofty discounts are not always available. its a choice the dealer has to make in terms of profit. some say yes, some say no. Its year end, month end and any dealer who wants to move inventory will likely play ball.

2012 CLS550, 2014 E350 C,2010 E350 Sport - sold, 2006 CL500 -SOLD, 2006 E350 - SOLD - 2006 Saab 9.3
Good deals are always out there

Just my 2 cents - I leased a 2014 E350 Coupe from Fletcher Jones on 11/3 and got 9k off MSRP or $4,700 back of invoice. I felt that was a good deal - I could have waited until the end of the month and maybe have saved $500 - $900 but my time is valuable, the wife wanted the coupe, the lease financing was great and the term is short - 24 months - drive off was 1st payment and license fees.

When the 2016 new body style comes out I'll either do an early lease end with their accelerator program or extend the lease for 6 months and wait for the right time to lease a 2016 and expect 10k to 12k off.

One more item about Fletecher Jones

Hi again,

After 3 Mercedes purchases at Hoehn since 2006 in Carlsbad I pulled the trigger on a 10 month old CPO 2012 CLS550 from Fletcher Jones - the pricing was incredible as this was June - the car was purchased for $58,888 and had 3 years left on warranty and only 14,750 miles.

Traded in my 2010 E350 Sport - white/beige MBtex - 28,500 miles - trade in value was $32,500 -

Their inventory is huge - over 1,000 new in stock and always over 100 very select and pristine MB CPO's to choose from.

I recommend James S. and Christine N. as they are professional and will follow through to make you happy.

So I emailed a few dealers to see what sort of pricing I can get. So far one dealer has responded back and it seems they are doing a flat 20% off MSRP. So the higher the MSRP the bigger the discount is going to be. I inquired about a car with MSRP of 61,650 and their price was $49,320 (exactly 20% off). They also gave me a quote on a lower MSRP and that one was 20% off as well.

Just 11.5k off at Keyes European back in early Novemeber when color choices and inventory are good. Most dealers are loaded with overly optioned cars on the lot towards the end of December.

I picked up a Steel Grey / Grey / Black Wood / P1 / Pano Roof / Keyless / Comfort Box.

What was the MSRP? Also since you leased what is MBUSA current bank acquisition fee that they charge on a lease? $795? I'd like to figure out what my monthly payments would be and that is the only figure left that I need to know so that I can see if my numbers will match with theirs once they figure theirs out.

Most shops in LA marked up bank fee at 1095.

Let us know which one doesn't

Anyway to get this lowered to standard $795? Can't we question them why they are doing it?

Probably finance department wants a fixed cut, since doc fee is fixed by state laws

No it isn't. In Texas the dealer can charge whatever they wish for "doc fee" all they have to do is post on the retail contract that: "A documentary fee is not an official fee. A documentary fee is not required by law, but may be charged to buyers for handling documents relating to the sale. A documentary fee may not exceed a reasonable amount agreed to by the parties. this notice is required by law"

There is also "Dealer's Inventory Tax" which is "The Dealer's Inventory Tax charge is intended to reimburse the Dealer for ad valorem taxes on its motor vehicle inventory. The charge, which is paid by the Dealer to the county tax assesor-collector, is not a tax imposed on a consumer by the government, and is not required to be charged by the Dealer to the consumer."

My doc fee and dealer inventory tax were $145 and $163.68 respectively.

Socialist state of CA doc fee is 80 max.

Effective July 1, California Law AB 1215 will allow dealers to charge car buyers up to $80 for the so-called documentation fee, up from the previous $55 cap. This charge, rationalized by the retailers as needed to “process your paperwork,” is universally loathed by customers. Most states do not regulate this cost, leading to tales of retailers extracting up to $495 for this phantom fee.

1095 is the standard for all mb dealers in the entire CA, no way around it unless you go out of state, my buddy at the stealership told me it is straight profit to the finance dept.

Well that's one way of giving 20% off MSRP without losing your pants on the deal. As I've been saying: there is no free lunch or cars sold at a loss...
