2011 E350
New to group
After driving 5-series Bimmers for 30 years, I picked up a 2011 E-350 (P1 with Pano, split rear seat, parktronic and the lane assist stuff) and 30,000 miles. Super comfortable ride. Now, if I can only master the command system. I look forward to learning from the group.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your new Mercedes Benz! Do post some pics of your ridee. And command is very easy to use and understand compared to I-Drive! Just curious to what made you switch over after all those years?

2011 E350
@MB_21: we made the switch after test driving the E350 compared to an assortment of 5-series and X5 models. I found the Bimmers to be, by design, a little stiffer in most aspects. Heavy acceleration in a 535i was thrilling, for sure. I guess the MB simply fits our cruiser needs better now, especially since it will be my wife's daily driver. My 20 year-old son was pretty put out with me on this decision. He still drives my one-owner 1984 528e that I bought new (which I must agree is still the sexiest-looking car in the driveway.

@Steven: we are spending a little time every evening with the car and discovering more goodies and functions every day. We have synched both iPhones via Blue Tooth, which could have been a little easier.

Sounds like my story. I always swore I would never give up my 5'er. Well it was just totaled and passing a dealer the other night I spotted my 2011 e350 sport. Im in love with it (still envious of the BMW) and just had HIDs installed and LED lights inside. No regrets here tho. Not yet at least.
