AMG 18 wheels on 14 E350
Got these 18" AMG's on my new E350 and they look and ride great.
Last nite we hit a pot hole at about 30MPH. It was a deep one and right in the travel lane leading up to the ramp of a highway. Sure enough the tire blew out. I will not know till tomorrow if it just deflated or was damaged, as there are no visible signs of tire damage, just lost all of its air.
I would assume that this road hazard damage which I did not pay extra for. My long term worry that with these low profile tires here in the east with lots of pot holes we may be in for problems in the future. I think i would have been better off with the 17" wheels and a tire with a higher wall. what are the groups thought from your own experience?

2014 E350 Wagon
After having paid for 3 new tires and a wheel on my wife's A4 with 18" rims, I chose the wheel protection on the E350. On my BMW with 17" rims I never had a problem. As anecdotal as this is your mileage may vary.
