I am a MASSIVE horsepower freak, and I own a 500+HP Audi, but every time I put my foot down in my E550 the last thing I think of is I need more power.

However, the best bang for your buck is getting it tuned by OE Tuning. It will take the horsepower up to the 412hp range and torque to about 426 ft lbs. That's some serious power from an N/A engine.

Another option is to upgrade the cams, it would cost about $2,000 to do this and it would yield you another 40-50HP. Headers and Hi Flow Cats would also yield you another 15-20HP.

Anything more and they're right, just trade it in for either a newer one or a 2010 E63
What all needs to be done at the same time as a cam upgrade? I dont wanna sacrifice reliability, so I'd rather spend a little extra up front

cams - $2,500 parts/$3,000 installed
headers- $1,300 parts/$1,600 installed
exhaust - $1,000 for custom one through Fast Intentions
Tune - $500 through OE Tuning

total: $6,100 installed making at least 80 more horsepower.

Vs. Trading your car in, taking a huge hit + putting down another 10k for a used E63 not to mention the higher payments, absurd cost of maintenance, lower fuel economy, and double cost of insurance?

6100 doesn't seem so bad now, does it?
By any chance do you have links to those mods?
