Renntech , Carlsson performance boxes or I would ask vendors in MB World about performance upgrades

For the natural aspired V8 there is not much you can do for power increases without serious cost. I would probably do a performance chip, perhaps an intake, and headers. If you want serious power you would probably have to supercharge it or bore out the engine. Take a look at Brabus, Kleeman, or Renntech.

For starters I would pick up a SprintBooster. Instant throttle response. I'm debating the RENNtech ECU upgrade like Munich77 suggested. Least expensive mods to start with.

Can the sprinter be used on a 14e50 naturally aspirated? What hp gain does it offer and how much does it cost?

Roughly 20HP gain on '11 for 1,500.00 for RENNtech.

Really? The OP asked about a 2011. Telling someone to buy a new vehicle instead of investing in mods to his current ride can be considered rude. Why don't you just tell him to buy Lambo Huracan while he's at it.

Unfortunately a naturally aspired engine is not as tunable as a turbo. Turbos are cheap to flash and get insane power upgrades.

2011 E550
Consider OE tuning, had a ecu tune on my 350(2011) and plan to get a ecu tune from them again on my e550, for 500$, its a unbeatable tune for this engine, since the 5.5 doesn't have turbos. .

I assume that the OP doesn't intend on spending that much money but it was just a thought from SolidGranite. Nothing rude about that.

Thanks guys.
Stale-bread: I stand behind my advice. This engine isn't worth the major dollars it will cost to add horsepower. He can probably save money by going with a 2012. No need to lash out man. Just tryin' to help.

Firstly, I'm surprised that someone actually wants more power out of their E550.
I am a MASSIVE horsepower freak, and I own a 500+HP Audi, but every time I put my foot down in my E550 the last thing I think of is I need more power.
However, the best bang for your buck is getting it tuned by OE Tuning. It will take the horsepower up to the 412hp range and torque to about 426 ft lbs. That's some serious power from an N/A engine.
Another option is to upgrade the cams, it would cost about $2,000 to do this and it would yield you another 40-50HP. Headers and Hi Flow Cats would also yield you another 15-20HP.
Anything more and they're right, just trade it in for either a newer one or a 2010 E63

So $10K + the cost of install, for cams, headers/full exhaust and a tune..and you only pick up 100hp if you are lucky..wow..
Looks like an E63 should be the next car on the list..haha

The E550 has plenty and more hp an average person would need. It is a beast of its own. Not to break the bank would be to throw on the bolt ons such as intake, headers, and a performance exhaust. Speaking of cold air intake, anyone installed one?

headers and exhaust could set you back ~$3K-5K + install costs(if needed)..
