2014 E350c Rear View Mirror Compass
My wife car did show compass on rear view mirror for a while and then suddenly disappeared.
I know that supposedly if you have navigation then there is no compass on the mirror however, we had compass on the mirror for a while.
Anyone had similar experience?

On some 2011 E550s, that hole accepts a straightened paper clip to perform the compass calibration. It's very small, exactly paper clip size, which was the giveaway. (The manual described a button on the right, which didn't exist.)
What's it for in your car?

I am not imagining. I had compass showing on the mirror for a while and then it stopped. I also noticed that active lane assist is not working any longer. I am not sure if there is any relationship. We are taking the car for service in couple of days primarily for lane assist.
There is no hole that is accessible with paper clip on this mirror. On my SLS there is that little hole that you can assign the region. There is no mention of compass on SLS's owner manual but obviously I have it.
