Lower Center honeycomb Mesh Grill removal

Has anyone successfully removed the lower center mesh grill without removing the bumper? Mine has cracked.

any tips or tricks.

It looks like the official way is to remove the bumper cover first.

Thanks

i think the trick is all about access to that area. if you can jack the front end up a bit (safely) then you may be able to pluck it out without removing the whole front cover. if you do end up removing the cover, you'll probably need a helping hand to unclip the fogs/drl's
