Reverse Tilt down

I would like to know if the 2014 E class has the reversing mirror tilt down feature or not. I have noticed frequently some movement in my passenger side rear view mirror while shifting to reverse, but not enough to clearly see the road / parking lines. I've not seen it being mentioned anywhere (but I may be wrong). Is this feature really there or is it my imagination playing up?

you most likely have to reprogram the tilt

i believe the order of operations is to set your car in reverse (hold the brake the entire time), then set your passenger mirror to exactly where you want it to tilt to when your in reverse, then program it to your seat position (1, 2 or 3) pretty sure by holding M and your preferred seat number...

then anytime you put it in R it should go to your set tilt if your in the seat number you set it to

Make sure your passenger side is selected too on the adjustment know on the driver door. It won't go down if you have the driver side selected.

Good tip! I was beginning to wonder why it sometimes tilted and sometimes it didn't...this explains it.

Thanks for the information.
I'm not clear about one aspect.
So I have to select the passenger mirror during reprogramming ….. or afterwards every time when I shift to reverse?

After you select the passenger mirror during reprogramming, it will tilt every time you shift into reverse until driver side is selected.

Read the Operator's Manual. On my 2010, all you do is leave the mirror selection button on the driver's door selected for passenger side. No programming or anything. Every time you put it in reverse, the passenger mirror tilts down and then back up to programmed location for normal driving.
