SD Card Capacity

I've successfully utilized a 32 gb SD card to store music on and subsequently utilized it in my 2013 W212. However, I have a lot more music than I was able to fit on the 32 gb card and want to get a 64 gb card for the extra capacity needed. Has anyone used a 64 gb card successfully?

Also, does the speed of the card (ex: 90 Mbps) affect the "read" speed of the card in the vehicle. Or should I just get the cheapest. Not to concerned about "write" speed.

Thanks!

I have used a Class 10 64GB card. As long as it's formatted to FAT32 it will work. Getting a 64GB card formatted to FAT32 is the tricky part. I used this program with great success: http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/ind...?guiformat.htm

Search my previous posts (particularly ones that are more than a year old) and you'll find the results of experiments I did with my Comand system's audio capabilities.IIRC there were track limitations on at least one of the 32GB chips I used. Can't recall which chip(s) or what the limit were.

I put many songs in the SD drive, some can play, others can't. What format is required again? Sorry if this has been answered before.

I've played .mp3 and also .m4a (ACC format music from iTunes). I'm sure there are other formats that work too.
