Both ceramic, i had a 12 hour road trip and never put my sunglasses on and never saw any rainbow effect...

I am certainly looking forward to that myself. The rainbow effect is supposedly with polarized lenses so you would only notice it with certain sunglasses on. The little of it I've seen when looking at other cars is very mild and would not be distracting.

I got mine done yesterday. 35 all around, no roof or front windshield. It looks bad ***. So cool with the black on black. I should've done it sooner! It is metallic global brand. Highly recommended by my guy and he did a great job. Cost about 150. It does make some cars and windows look crazy when wearing polarized shades! Cool effect IMO though

Windshield was the best decision for me. I went with Suntek 50%, Its great, I have Llumar 35% on the rest of the car. The difference is night and day, the heat on your hands/arms/body is gone. Also, it feels like I have a sun guard on the windshield when I come back in my car after being in my office all day. I thought it might be too dark and I was hesitant, but when driving I dont even notice it, you can see the difference if you put the side windows down but I dont feel like my safety is compromised at all.

Check your local state/city laws. Some states don't allow any tint or anything else for that matter on the front windshield. There are some nearly clear tint that will do a good job blocking 99% UV and 30 or 40% heat and can usually get away from getting a ticket by the local law enforcement

Just got mine done last week. Llumar CTX 30 all around ($250) plus Llumar Air 80 on the windshield ($80). Here is a pic.
Considered 3M Crystalline (quoted $800) and Huber Optik (quoted $900) but I've used Llumar before and was happy with the results and it was cheaper. Car was done in less than two hours and install looks clean with no issues (so far).
You can hardly see anything on the windshield. But you definitely feel the difference when the sun is on you - much cooler than before. Glad I did that. Polarized sunglasses are an issue though - there is a rainbow effect that doesn't bother me but I could see how it might bother some. If you have polarized glasses, I would look at a sample first so you know what to expect - or get different sunglasses.
I still use a sunshade while parking outside at work (front and back) because you can never block enough heat out.

Looking at getting Crystalline 70 or 90 for the windshield since that's pretty much clear and it has really good heat rejection. And then looking at 3M Color Stable for the side and rear windows.
My tint shop doesn't recommend Ceramics due to their ghosting effects and swears by the Color Stable for darker tints and Crystalline for maximum heat and sun reflection without going dark.

It occurs when the installer heats the tint to conform to curves and edges.
