Navigation problem 2014 e350
my 2014 will not allow me to use my home address. I called mercedes of usa and they said there system takes my address but I found out they have an old version. The new version in the 2014 will not take my address. It uses a city 20 miles from me as my city. THe dealer wants to do a diagonistics on the system. Mercedes usa said it will do no good. It is the new program on the 2014 that is the problem. They said they would look into it and get back to me. KInd of frustrating that you pay so much for a car and you cannot put in where you live in the navigation system. does anyone else have this problem?

So your address is not available in the address database? Is is a new address?
You might try saving your current location as a saved address while at your home and see if it will then allow you to navigate back to that location. If it does, you could then save this location as your home address.

Address and street formed in 1940. The 2013 version of the navigation picks up the address perfectly. The new version is the problem. I have contacted MB USA and they said they would inform the company that does the updates . It may be corrected this year? If I put my address and street in it comes up with a city 20 miles away. THe 2014 version will not allow me to put in the city where I live. The 2013 version does allow it. According to MB USA the company that does the corrections and updates is the only one that can correct the faulty system. My $20 Garmen has the correct addfress but the $70,000 Mercedes will not allow me to put in the correct city.

When I had our 2008, I lived in the middle of a blank screen and the 2-3 miles close to my house I always drove beside the roads on the navi screen.

From what MB usa said they switched companies for the 2014 navigation systems. They are no longer using the same company that they previously used. This could be the problem. They probably switched to a cheaper company and they with lower standards. If enough people complain they will have to go back to the original company (hopefully). Anyway at least I know where I live even if the system says I do not live there.

Went to the command manual site from samking. Found that that 2014 manual has 100 pages more than my manual. Upon further checking I found that I never received a command manual for the navigation also. Called MB usa they said to go to dealer and tell them you want the other version of the operators manual which has more detail and that you want the command manual that you never received. The part number for the operators manual with 430 pages is 2125845100 the part number for the command manual is 1725845581. Went to the dealer and sale person said he would talk to the sales manager tomorrow when he comes in.

They must have switched to a cheap navigation company for the 2014 year. You need to contact mbUSA and complain. The more that complain the faster it will be corrected.
