SPORT PKG/WOOD LEATHER STEERING WHEEL
I went to configure an E class on the MBUSA website and found that in order to get the wood/leather steering wheel you have to add the Sport Pkg, which doesn't make much sense to me. I'm wondering if I ordered an E Luxury if the wood/leather steering wheel could be a special order option.

Thanks, rovinrail. I'll do that when the time comes to order. When I go to the MBUSA configuration page, and click on wood/leather wheel, the one that comes up is round, even though it says it has added the sport package. I have the wood/leather steering wheel in my S and I really like it.

BTW, went through my old e-mail traffic:
The two relevant codes for wood/leather are:
289 (lux/round version)
314 (flatbottomed)
Both are 3-spoke, the difference is the shape.
Warning: the dealer may have to look into it a bit-- we thought we were ordering the round based on the dealer's info-- and it was specific that 314 would be round.
Not the case, as I found when I picked it up at the factory with a pretty flat-bottomed steering wheel.
I've learned to love it, though! Wasn't going to let them go in and switch it, with all the potential gremlins that would have introduced.
