Answer is, it is a tracking device. Previous owner had a lojack kind of service that has long since lapsed. The flashing light was indicating no service. I just took my car in this morning for it's 3rd service and I asked the service manager. They removed it. Took about 3 minutes. Truly sorry for the super delay.

So you took the car to the dealer where your wife's uncle works...


I would be questioning the dealer very hard about this tracking device in a car I bought and really they committed a crime having this device in the car they sold to you without you knowing about it.


But, if you are happy then good. That's all that matter anyway. ..
