Are the 212 AMG Fenders Wider than Regular?
Hello,
Are the E63 fenders wider than the standard non AMG fenders? Another question that may help me is, for those of you that installed an E63 bumper on a regular E-Class, did you run into any bumper to fender fitment issues?
The MB website says the reuglar E350 wagon is 62.1" wide (excluding mirrors) while the E63 wagon is 64.0" wide. I don't know if the difference is only due to a wider track or if it actually pertains to the fender.
The reason I ask is because I'm looking to do the Brabus CF fender vents on my upcoming E63, but it requires cutting into the stock fender. I figure it may be a more wise option to buy some cheap used regular 212 fenders, paint and cut those and install on the E63 rather than cutting into my brand new fenders. I'd put my stock fenders in storage. But I'd only do this if the fender widths are the same.
Thanks for anyone that can help provide some insight into this question.

Thank you YYZ-E55. That was just what I was looking for. Also from the image, you can see the AMG's fenders taper out a little more than the regular version.
