It depends what kind of wheels you got. Some China made wheels will bend on the first bump. Were the tires new? You went with same size as OEM? Bigger?

Nothing worse than wheels out of balance. It's as annoying as someone dripping water on your forehead. These cars should be as smooth as glass at any speed and if yours is vibrating with new wheels then you have crappy wheels or a clueless installer. Perhaps, both.

Got 19's. Another guy with an e63s got the same ones and his are smooth. Might be my tires. Going to a mom and pop shop with a roadforce machine tonight. Discount tire can't get them right.

Roadforce is the way to go from what I understand. I'm having the same issue with my 55 with 19's on it. Had discount balance all 4 when i got my new front tires and still get a vibration after 60mph. Found a local shop with a roadforce so we'll see if that fixes it

I am about to put some 19" tires on my old toyota, I guess I will not be going to Discount tire now. From what I understand, they no longer use Roadforce, last time I been there they just had regular balancing machines.

Use this link to find a dealer with the proper machine.

Follow up, road force worked like a charm, smooth as silk @ 75 now.

Great link shak, that would have saved me about 20 min last week calling around trying to find a shop with the right machine lol

Had the same issue with my STOCK 18s and dealer balanced them twice and still had vibration issues. Took the wheels and got them road force balanced 2 weeks ago and I'm happy to report vibration free.

Vibration could be from a number of things.

The wheel being out of round
the tire being out of round ( which is possible)

improper balancing.

best thing is I would go back and get them re balanced once more and also check the tire.

Some tires will have a imbalance to them naturally certain Pirelli Tires for instance will have that which is easily re corrected when placed on the wheels and balanced properly.

The two Benz dealerships in town have Roadforce machines. I would hope that all dealers have them by now. Makes for happier customers.

After a couple balance jobs it was determined one of the rims were bent. Bought new rim went straight for a roadforce balance for both fronts at small indy shop. They said other one has slight bend too. They did a really good job. Can't feel the vibration but still hear it. Nitto invos are just noisey i guess. And to think i bought them because of reviews claiming how quiet they are. I am probably going to buy another front rim and two different tires for the front. Anyone ever mismatch tires front to back?
