E Class Sales Volume

I can find the number of E Class cars sold which is between 60,000 to 70,000 per year. Does anyone know the split between the sport and luxury model? Anecdotally I see way more sport models in Houston.

How about the split by model? Any idea how many of the total sold are E550's? There are not a lot that I see.

Dealers tend to stock more Sport models so it is what's on the lot. How many people really know the difference between the two and that the Luxury version is even available? It's in the brochure, but Luxury is barely mentioned.

2021 S580 Prior: 2012 E350 Bluetec, 2013 GL350 Bluetec, 2009 ML320 Bluetec, 2006 E320 CDI, 1987 260E
According to the MY 2013 ordering guide 20% of E350s were Luxury and 25% of E350 BTC were luxury. Around where I am I don't think 20% are luxuries, it's a real rarity to see others like mine. I may notice more BTC luxuries though but barely. Not sure how accurate this numbers remain?

I agree though most people probably don't know the difference and default to the Sport...

id say 1/5 being luxury is pretty accurate.

It is hard for me to tell the difference and I ordered a car just to get the Luxury version. Easiest way is to count the bars in the grill, but you have to be quick unless the car is sitting.

If not quick enough counting the bars on the grill then look at the exhaust outlets - Lux=Round, Sport=Oblong.

Are you guys talking about the 2014 E 350. I don't think the exhaust outlets are even visible in the luxury version .

That would have to be pre 2014. Also, the E550 has the oblong exhaust in both the luxury and sport packages.
