Bike Rack?
Would like to NOT use a trunk lid bike rack, but instead to use a Class 1 hitch to carry -at most - two bicycles (I have no need for towing). Have not found anyone in my Ohio area that has installed any hitches on a 2014 E350 4matic. Do not wish to mangle the rear bumper shields. I have found some sites offering hitches that are said to work, but have found no recommendations about the quality of these hitches, nor their affect on the car.
Would anyone have suggestions? most appreciated.

What about the built in roof rack? Can't you get a bike rack for that?

There is only one Class 1 hitch in the US that is made for the W212. It is made by Curt Manufacturing. Every other one (Hidden Hitch, Uhaul) are rebranded versions of the same hitch. Their wagon version does not work on the facelifted model as MB redesigned the rear bumper (I'm talking about the metal bumper under the bumper cover) so it won't align any more. I have no experience with the sedan version, it might work it might not work.
I ordered a hitch from Europe and welded on a 2" receiver for my wagon. I use 1UP USA bike rack with this setup and can carry 4 bikes with it. I would not have it any other way.
