Where did you find that description for the 271 code? According to EPC 271
271E refers to the front passenger airbag label (in English/Portuguese). 271 on a W212 should refer to "Autonomous brake intervention/warning for pedestrian protection"

Thank you for your reply. I copied it from the features in the description of several 2014 E350s with Distronic Plus for sale. I'm not sure the 271 is correct but just wondered if anyone knew about the dashboard badging.
