transmission service

Just brought my car to the dealer for some small warranty issues and I figured since my car is over 40K to do the transmission service. Service advisor just called me and they said no need to service transmission till 70K. Is that something new?

For MY 2012 and newer you have a 7G+ transmission that is an updated version of the original 7G.

the 7G transmission needs a fluid change every 40k miles while the 7G+ needs it only every 70k miles. The fluid used is also different from 7G to 7G+.

2010 E350 Luxury Sedan, Engine 272 (V6)
Per advice of service advisor, I have not had transmission service on my 2010 E350 due to low mileage. It is now almost five years old and is approaching 20,000 miles. A lot of real short trips, but also some fairly long ones in that mileage.
Any recommendations? Will be taking it to dealer within next couple of months for service.

E 350
So how do we know whether the regular E350 has 7G or 7G+ transmission. Do all 2014 E 350s come with one or the other?
