Window Problem

My 2014 E350 has a problem with the front passenger window where if I try to put it up with either the passenger button or the one on the driver's side door, it will not go up by pulling the switch all the way (automatic) and once I hold it up to put the window up, it closes, but then opens itself an inch or so. I called the dealer and they said to hold it down for 5 seconds once it is open and hold it up for 5 seconds once it is closed. That did not fix it. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Might I suggest searching Bulletins thread https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...212-sedan.html - LI72.40-P-058061 door control unit software update and/or replacement, check your email.

Thanks for the email. It seems like all of the support docs necessitate bringing it into the dealer, which is on the other side of the earth. Is there anything I can do from home to try to fix it? In my 2005 E class that I traded in a few months ago, the sunroof had a very similar problem and they had me push the button and hold it or something and that fixed it. Is there anything like that that you know of that might fix it?

Thanks.

Only DIY is to attempt a reset as dealer suggested, see attachment.

BTW, I don't know if it is correct but my dealer said one needs to hold the switch for 30 seconds.
