Any way to permanently disable the distance warning?
You can turn it off through the instrument cluster, but the next time you start the car it is re-enabled. To me, it's a useless feature and typically gives a warning for no reason. I would love to find a way to permanently disable it.

If it's giving a warning "for no reason", have the dealer take a look at it. I've only seen it come on in a car once, and indeed the driver was coming in rather fast.

On my 2013 ML 350 I disabled it via the dash cluster and it stays off. If yours doesn't do that ask the dealer to disable it using the Star System. By the way, the reason I disabled it was that it gave warnings for no reason and no warnings when there was a reason. The dealer couldn't find a problem, so I solved it by firing it.

Thanks for the input Barry.
I also found that I had inadvertently created Personal POIs in the navigation system that were cause the car to beep. It's been better since I disabled those.
