Facelifted 2014 E350 Front Turn Signal Bulb LED Fitment

I'm happy to report that those of without the lighting package on our cars have easy access to the front turn signals. No more taking off the wheel and ripping the liner out and cutting our fingers. The engineers have designed this cover mechanism that can be accessed directly through the engine bay. I took a pic of it, very easy to access the bulbs, plenty of space even for my bear like hands.

The turn signal bulb in question is the one with the white holder, I have tried twisting turning with significant force, but the bulb holder just wont move. I don't want to break it and have to replace the entire headlight assembly, is there a method to get this bulb out?

Also what kind of bulb is it? Some people are saying its a either a

-3156 or 7440

I'm considering getting these ones as they claim they don't need a resistor and don't throw any codes.

I think there is a tab that is underneath that plug. I don't believe there is actually a bulb that comes out from that plug though. See if you can feel where the tab is located so you can remove that plug at least.
