Employee Lease Prices (Is it true?)

I heard that employee lease deals are very good, somewhere along the lines of a 2014 E350 with P1 and a few goodies (such as AMG wheels and such) for $0 down, $149.00/month 12K miles 27 month lease.

What are the best and worst employee lease deals out here?

I'm just curious...

afaik, that's true. bmw has similar deals as well. lots of employees buy out the car after and sell it to private parties. pretty good profit.

They must lease it so they are "up to date". At least that is what I heard. I guess they have to make it affordable for the sales to buy.

I know a few Buddies whose dealer will discount the payment by 50-75% to their employees. Good idea and more units sold.

FTE (depending on your level) gets lease allowances.
For example master certified SA gets about 350 per month to use towards their lease.

Therefore your example would make sense if he/she pulled the trigger during winter sales event and applied the 350 per month MBFS allowances.

http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/about_us/careers

Better apply now

Since these discounts are net of statement credit so don't bother talking your friend to transfer the lease to you.

Those are not correct #'s for Daimler employees here in the states. For regular full-time Daimler employees (non-management) there is indeed a nice employee lease program provided by MBUSA (through MB Financial Services) that helps MBUSA control their inventory and give us (employees) great lease terms. Daimler USA employee leases are 12month leases, 15k miles and $0 down. Prices are aprroximately from $250-$300/mo for C250/C300s and GLK250s and $350-$375/mo for E350 sedans and GLK350s. ML350s and E350 coupe/cabs are about $425-$500/mo. Not all MB vehicles are available for this employee lease program for instance no AMG. However, I have seen occasional CLS550 and SL550 for about $650-$700/mo. The other great benefit of this program is that once employees hit 8000 miles on their lease, they are allowed to turn the vehicle in early if leasing another vehicle through the program. So essentially, it is an unlimited mileage program. And depending how many miles a year one drives, you can have a new car every several months. My lease cars last about 6 to 9 months. After lease, the employees do NOT have option to buy and either the dealer can buy car or MBUSA sends them to auction.

Note, this info is for Daimler North America employees, not delearship. Delearships are not part of Daimler and run their own programs with details and prices that I am not aware of.

Thanks for the clarification. Wish I had this program! To see SLs running at around 650-700 is beyond amazing. I'd jump on that in a heartbeat. Lucky them No S classes?

Actually about a year ago I think I remember seeing a few S550s (2013) in the employee lease system. I want to say they were going for around $800/mo. As of now there are no 2015s S-Classes listed.

I am hoping to see the 2015 E400s (V6 Bi-turbos) show up in the system this fall so I can try one this winter. As of now, I am really enjoying the 2014 E350 Cab I have for the summer over the 2104 E350 4Matic sedan I had over this past winter. The 4Matic sedan was awesome in the snow and for road trips with all the ski gear but the smaller chassis E-coupe/cab just handles sooooo much better and is so much more sporty/fun to drive - Plus they have a more true manual mode for the transmission that does not revert back to auto on its own. Of course the backseat and truck room are also soooo much smaller. But with only the wife and I we don't really need all the space of the sedan.

I do not believe retirees are included in this program.

Also, unfortunately since dealers are not part of Daimler, dealer employees are not included in this program. Someone was telling me that MB of Manhattan is actually the only Daimler owned dealership in US... Not sure if that is true.
