I have the rear 3D mats. Much like the fronts, they fit perfectly - even better than the OEM winter mats - which were short on one side leaving some carpet exposed. They've got a ridge just inside the circumference to keep messes contained.

I may be wrong, and if so forgive me, but it seems that some are comparing the OEM floor mat with the Weather Tech floor liners. I have the Weather Tech front mats and they fit perfectly and I can't tell the difference between them and the MB brand mats. The Weather Tech floor liners are a different configuration.

Did the OP get the Maxspider mats yet? We are awaiting the review and pictures.
I have OEM MB mat but not a great fan of those. My driver side mat ripped open partially at the attached snap-on button (almost encircling it) when I was trying to lift it out for cleaning. It is so hard to get underneath mat first to release the button before pulling it out. Now I have given up on taking it out and just clean in while it's attached to the floor. Seems the rubber is not a good quality. Also dirt / snow can accumulate form the gap near the footrest. The rear mats are a joke. I believe the air vents on the floor are complicating the designs for rear mats.

Aren't you worried about the area to the right of the Go Pedal getting trashed by your boot when it sits there 99.9% of the time?

Not in the least. Butts perfectly up against the gas pedal the same as any matt would. There is no room on the right side of the gas pedal for any type of matt to go in there. Maybe if I had a different kind if gas pedal that gave room to the right of the pedal but this one has a housing that butts up to the right side of the wall near the pedal. It would be like worrying about the left wall side where your foot rests. I have never seen the left wall get dirty have you?

There is at least an inch between my gas pedal and the transmission tunnel, so there is room to have a continuation of the coverage. It's probably a liability thing why it's not done. Your gas pedal configuration could be different since your E is newer. My carpet shows some wear in that area, by the pedal, but I have the Charcoal carpet so the dirt is not obvious. I have never owned a light color carpeted car.

I am just the opposite. I have never had a dark color carpet. I am curious is your gas pedal also in a box? Mine the box bolts to the floor and has a plug in it. is your gas pedal the same or is it free standing with no box?

My pedal is hinged at the bottom to the plastic box with the thin wire plunger. I'm sure they are the same, but my pedal is at least an inch from the trans tunnel. Sounds like yours is much closer. Do you have a cover over the OEM pedal that makes it wider?

you are right. I went out and looked at the gas pedal and I actually have about an inch also to the right of the pedal. I never noticed it. Strange. when you look at it when you first open the door it looks like it is tight up to the right but when you get your head down there and look there is a gap. It is possible that it can get dirty. I will have to watch.

I have close to 50,000 miles and you probably have 5,000, so I'm a little farther down the road in the wear department. My carpet actually still looks pretty good, though. The normal patterned OEM mats do help in the winter to keep at least the floor looking good when I change over to the carpeted mat.
