Weathertech matts
Bought Weather Tech matts for car because I wanted to cover the area on Drivers left side that is not covered by the Mercedes matts because of the split. Well, Weather Tech matts are about 5 inches short as you can see from the shoe picture. The passenger side is to big and causes a bulge as you can see from 2nd picture. Does anyone know of a matt that actually covers the left side of the drivers side. I know that if it does not cover the ball of the foot it will get dirty from the snow and road grime.. I know I can stop putting my foot there but I like to rest it there. And I do not want to chop part of my foot off. If anyone has a suggestion please let me Know Thanks.

I absolutely abhor the weathertech floor mats. They are ugly, don't fit, color is wrong, let water slosh all over the place, etc.
I only use the OEM Mercedes product. It has a hexagonal water trap design that keeps your feet dry(er) and fits like a glove. The split left foot dead pedal protection runs all of the way up the foot rest, unlike the Weathertech crappy attempt at cutting cost.
For $90.00, go and buy the real product and throw those things in the trash.

you are exactly correct! I bought these for my original ML back in 2010(with the beige interior) and immediately sent them back. Weathertech does not(obviously) consider this a design flaw.
I DID order their all weather matts (textured rubber) and they fit beautifully, provide good coverage, snap securely in place and they actually catch a lot of crap. I can't see any reason to swap them out in the summer, I'll save the carpeted matts for when I trade the vehicle.
Custom moled=crap
all weather=very good.

The all weather mat covers the "false pedal" area of the drivers footwell(all the way to the toe)

The Mercedes mat is a rubber mat and very pliable as well when it's -10. You can easily pull them from the car to empty water or clean as opposed to wrestling around with that crap Weahtertech stiff cardboard bathtub.
dbldpr- I thought you didn't drive this MB in sketchy weather? You only put on like 1500 miles a year, right?

I did not buy for looks. I bought for protection. The oem MB matts do not protect the side of the hump on the left and last year I had to scrub several times to get that area clean. I was trying to avoid this this year but you are correct the weather tech matts are a piece of garbage because they do not cover the whole area. They are being returned for a refund. I had to modify the OEM MB matt to cover the side area of the foot rest. It is a shame that no one makes a matt that covers everything.

When I called and complained about the custom fit matts only going half way up the footwell the woman said "well why would you be putting your feet up there?" Why? because it's the footwell and your feet rest quite comfortably there.
"oh no, these are floor matts, your feet should be resting on the floor"

Height is perfect on oem it just does not cover that side piece. Last year it got pretty dirty from all the snow. I have since put a piece of carpet that I folded and it covers the spot using the oem

Update: Now I notice that the passenger side cutouts are not the same as mine. My cutouts appear to be correct for my '15 E350 and I'm not certain the ones pictured would fit my car.

I don't believe there are snaps on the passenger W212. My W211 had snaps on both sides but that went away in 2010. My OEM weather mat has snaps on the driver's side only.

OEM Mercedes All weather mats are junk. The separated flap on the driver's side mat allows all sorts of crap to reach the carpeting underneath, and the mat is too shallow.
I just pulled the Mercedes mats out of the wife's E250 and replaced them with Maxpider 3D mats. They are a perfect fit, have a deep well to keep any water/snow/slush in, and the driver's side is one piece that includes a very tall back that covers the vast majority of the dead pedal.
I highly recommend them.

I agree with you about the oem matt. Tried weather tech and they are worse than oem I just ordered Maxpider matts. They look like they will cover everything. When I get them I will let the forum know how they fit. If they do not I will try yours
