Email sent JasonB!

This solution sounds a lot easier to use than the radar idea I had in previous thread, especially if it automatically activates at <3mph in forward gear (I assume no wheel button required?)... I presume R gear will engage backup camera as always.

If this isn't a fully packaged product kit, can you at least provide a list of component parts required so that we can shop on our own?

I hope Jason can answer more questions?
The camera in reply #13 seems to be spoiler -mounted?
If that is a curb at the end, it makes impression of retaining wall
Usually front cameras are mounted about 2 ft above the ground, so you can see more traffic.
I also am keen on automatic switching on. I am already annoyed with my rear-view camera, that takes over GPS screen when I need it the most.

I presume you can mount the camera as high or low as you want. Mine will go at the top of the grille beneath the bumper, behind the grille to peek through. If it activates only at parking speeds, it won't have much use as a traffic cam.

No response from my email to JasonB to date.

Does anyone know anything about this Burtman Industries? Jason's phone number AC "717" denotes south central Pennsylvania. This is an automotive accessories company. Has anyone done business with Burtman Industries?

No, Jason has not answered my email. He may not be there anymore, in which case I'd like to find someone else there...

That's ME. I don't always get notifications replies on this forum. I also get a new phone that I had to restore as new and lost older messages. So if anyone has texted about this, please text again, 717-319-2100

I would be interested in installing the front camera on my W212.

Can you hook me up?

I installed the Joyeauto wireless Carplay module and adding a front camera was very easy. The front camera comes on when the car is shifted into drive for about 20 seconds.

Can you install both front and rear with the Joyeauto then? Do you have pics / threads about people discussing the front camera install? thanks

Hey Davery, where did you run the wiring from the camera at the front of the car to get it into the Joyeauto module?

Thanks!

This is the W212 "E" Mercedes section, you probably want to post this in the "ML" section...

Thats probably not a simple upgrade... The 360 cam on my 2019 Ford Expedition uses cameras under both side mirrors plus a front camera and the rear camera, all those will need wiring, and the COMAND processor likely needs fairly extensive coding/reprogramming to support it, other modules may well need coding to support the feature, too.
