Noticed all the E400 Sedans in my area are equipped with "Harman/Kardon Delete" credit of $800. Only on the E400's. Anyone else see this? Is there an equipment constraint or is this just a way to bring the MSRP down?

No restrictions on 810. I don't suppose they're equipped with B&O (811)?

The base stereo is bbbaaaddd. Perhaps MBUSA product planners missed including 810 in the equipment profile on the first batch of cars.

No B/O. And door mirror speaker covers are plain black... No branding. Yikes.

I have the base stereo, and I think it's okay. Not as clean as the H/K, but not that far behind IMO.

Our new 2015 E400 has HK stereo... it comes standard with the media package upgrade. My suspicion is if you have HK delete you probably have no media.

Nope, has full Media, just no HK. Must be part(s) issue. Multiple dealers here in Silicon Valley

Wonder if it was intentional to keep the price down. Seems odd cars at 3 dealers in this area all have E400 sedans with the "HK Delete" credit.

I noticed the same thing. I had the dealer search for a car with H/K at other dealerships and almost every e400 had the base stereo with a credit for the H/K system. They found me one several hundred miles away but clearly it was the exception. The dealer had no explanation and seemed confused by it.
