2015 E-class is just landing... probably 3 more months before that info is available.
Multiple people here reporting 2015 is short production year and that orders placed now are 2016's with March build, April delivery. Couple mentioned different (or renamed) silver color.
992 Selenite Grey replaces 792 Palladium Silver
Good riddance, Palladium.
Palladium silver has been a popular choice for many MB buyers, but it has been around for many years and it is virtually identical to BMW's Space Grey.
So maybe it's a good time to introduce Selenite Grey as a darker sliver !
Wonder if there will be any other changes as this is the final W212 model year. I'm thinking 2015 and 2016 will both be short production years with the 2017 "all new" arriving in the Fall. Probably mimicking the C-Class launch... maybe even with 4Matic-only initially?

Typically, MB restricts the option packages and colour choices for final year of production. In this case, MY2016 for E Class.
W213 will show up in North America as MY2017, likely in 2nd or 3rd quarter of 2016.

In a conversation with MB Customer Satisfaction yesterday, I was told that as of right now, new orders placed will be built as 2016 models. So where is the 2016 DOG?

My dealer rep emailed me yesterday. Here's what he wrote,
"I just checked with Mercedes-Benz. Pricing for 2016 E400 coupe is not out yet. They will start production in March. Prices should be out in 2-3 weeks."
In a prior email he told me about the new color -- Selenite Grey -- just confirming a prior thread.
I asked my dealer this morning about MY2016 changes. He informed me that the 360 camera will NOT be available for 2016 E Class !!!
For those who might be thinking about waiting for the MY2016 that begins production in March, you might want to consider a MY2015 E Class if you wish to have the 360 camera feature.
2016 DOG for the Eclass W/S212 has option 501 Surround View Camera, unsure what your dealer is reading?
2016 DOG for Canadian versions. Maybe US version is OK ? If you are in the USA, I would suggest that you confirm with your dealer and/or MBUSA as to the availability of 360 camera for MY2016.

I was mainly interested in the color palette for 2016 as my wife is due for a GLC and I thought that the E Class guide would give me a hint about what colors were in danger of being retired (even though apples/oranges). There were about half a dozen Designo paints (Espresso, Mystic Brown, Diamond White, Cardinal Red come to mind) and the rest were the usual suspects. Didn't spend a lot of time studying the package/option configurations but nothing jumped right out at me.

You'd probably be better off looking at the W205 C-Class colors to get an idea of X205 GLC colors. MB is restructuring their designo program and many designo colors are being axed off. The old W221 S-Class had so many designo colors available, now there's just four.
I personally prefer Selenite over Palladium but maybe because I'm getting sick of seeing 50% of the MBs out there being Palladium.
Yes, Selenite Grey is a nice color, especially for the the Ford Taurus I saw about 30 minutes ago. Palladium Silver Forever !! While we are on the subject of colors, it should be a minor felony to have any Mercedes in Red (except for an SL or SLK).

Actually, they are 18's, because that's what I wanted. I ordered the car with Exclusive Nappa Leather, Exclusive Trim Pkg., Magic Body Control, Premium 1 Pkg., Warmth & Comfort Pkg., Surround View Camera and the Driver's Assistance Pkg. It's a tad more than a base model and best of all, it's a brand new S!

Same here. When I went to order my 2015, I was a bit bummed to find out that my brand new 2015 would be one model year old before I even took delivery. But lack of Palladium and lack of 360 camera in the 2016 made the decision easier.
