In my opinion lowering it is one of the best mods you an do. It almost always causes people to look at the car twice as they try to figure out what is different from the other e350 they just saw. That said, the ride quality does change.
I lowered mine and put 19's on it. When I park it and walk away I look back and say to myself "Man... I love the way that car looks!"
Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your car.

PS. I haven't got a chance to take pics of mine because of weather. :/ Can't wait till it's sunny to do a little photo shoot!

You can never go wrong with plastidip as you can retouch, remove, or redo anytime for a few dollars and a couple hours.
like it just dont go there.
id suggest to buy a new used set or have them painted(you can even use that gloss spray http://www.us.autodip.com/do-it-yourself/#buy ) or wrap it with vinyl.
