E550 M278 after Renntech ECU flash, Anyone tested ?
Just thinking getting 2015 E550 as secondary car, then do Renntech ECU flash.
Renntech claim to have power upto 530 HP and 606 lb/ft
I have seen some people done it.
But I am wondering, whats the result for 0 to 60 mile ? around 3.8 sec ??
PS. I hope, I can still drive it day to day to work.

I am guessing 0-60 will be around the 4 second mark. If you want to go lower than that you probably have to get a chipped S6.

I own a 2012 E550 4matic. The 550 4matic is equipped with the W7X700 gearbox. This transmission is rated for 700Nm (which equals 515 ft lb). Therefore I would limit a tune to this figure... The E550 (without 4matic) has the W7C700 transmission that has the same limitations.

Which means Renntech tuned might damage the transmission ???

Every tune will increase wear. That is quite normal. Spirited driving will also favor wear. So spirited driving with a tune...well...I would not race such a car nor would I use it on the unlimited Autobahn.
So yes, the tune is beyond Mercedes Benz limit for this transmission. Yes, it can and will harm your transmission, if you frequently use the enhanced power. However, I doubt, that one can use that power in the US frequently...

There are people thought E class (Non AMG Engine) can't run fast.
Thats where the fun begins.
few years later, I probably will upgrade to E63 or 911.
And after flashed ECU.
When doing maintenance in MB service place. Would they find out about ECU being flashed ?

If they want to find a tune, they will find it. In Germany, the Mercedes Benz procedure after an engine failure is pretty complicated. The dealer has to answer several questions (regarding oil quantity and quality, fuel quality). Also the dealer has to visually inspect the engine for tuning boxes / whether the ECU had been opened or not. Finally, the dealer has to uplink the ECU to the MB Maintenance Center in Berlin, where they check the ECU for a tune...
However, we are talking about major damages beyond the 20,000 USD mark... If one has smaller failures no one cares. The dealer wants to repair that damage and therefore will not point out, if the engine had been tuned. And Mercedes does not car either, as searching for a tune might cost more than the repair itself.
This is, how Mercedes Germany seems to work. MB USA might differ...
