Airmatic question

New to airmatic....I leave the car in comfort mode in the winter, small red light for Comfort on center console is lit. Should the car stay in it's 'raised' position even after the car is turned off and sitting? I find myself having to raise the car when I get underway and that could be perfectly normal, just trying to find out. Would think if it remains in comfort it would raise automatically when I start to drive. Thx much!!

My car will self level when I pull into the garage and turn it off. It hisses, farts, and makes other odd sounds then quiets down and goes to sleep after a few minutes. When I start it the compressor will run and self adjust as I back out and head out. I am always in normal mode. I rarely put it in the sport mode. If you keep your tires air at 35-36 lb., that is usually a harsh enough ride for most people with 18" wheels. I never ever touch the raise button to move the suspension.

The raised button is to lift the front for steep driveways ect. . It is in addition to the comfort mode. The car lowers back to normal comfort mode at highway speeds.

It raises both front and rear.

2011 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon (Sport)
Cold weather & rear Airmatic Suspension.

My wagon will turn into a lowrider sometimes after only a couple hours parked, not every time
, but at least once or twice a week. It looks cool, but could there be a leak in the bags?

Sure sounds like a leaking rear air bag, but it would occur pretty regularly and not a spotty occurrence as you have described. Get it checked out
