If you look at my earlier reply I am glad they agree with me but more to the point that they are doing something about it.
A car costing this amount of money should not have such issues.
I have Artico which is a PU product with heated seats in the same colour with no issues.

you know this actually happened to me too!! Mine has black MB tex but the marks appeared on the actual seat. They were very visible but now i can barely see them ...fading away. I wonder if i should take the car in given the marks are almost gone??

Post part #s listed from receipt, curious to see if cover and/or heating was modified to correct this.

will do konigstiger. Service advisor said if it was cloth transfer a magic eraser is the best thing to use and will get it off. I am just glad they are fixing it as I would be tempted to trade in for an S class with real leather. Our plan was to keep this for 6-7 years then trade in. But seeing that every time I drive would p!$$ me off. I to wonder if if they are putting the same part # in. Find out tomorrow. The loaner the dropped of does not get as hot as fast. At least they pick up and drop off. They are over 40 miles away.

Could you see the heating coil? If so I would take it in. I will never have a car with a light color interior again.
on over. It may be an issue. I can't be the only one.

I hope this fix works out for you. I have never heard of this heating element burn situation or heating elements running hotter than normal. Especially, two in the same vehicle. Just doesnt seem like the real deal. Oh well, good luck!

Interesting that no codes were stored, anyway same part # so parts are not modified. Was the seat automatically switching down from level 3-2-1 and shutting off properly? Did you repeatedly switch on seat heating?

Looks like (from the repair detail) that they replaced the heating element. That might or might not solve the problem, depending on the root cause, which it seems like they did not determine.
