Question M276 4MATIC (7G Plus) opinions

Hi all. I have a 2015 GLK350 4Matic. Seems to be more activity in this area than in X204, so thought I'd ask. I just came from a C250 with 7G Plus as well, but no M276 or 4Matic.

I know there are many 7G Tronic and 7G Tronic Plus issues mentioned on here and other sites, but wondering if my "concern" is no big deal.

So, in my W204, the car shifted smoothly in every gear, at any throttle position. All the W204 loaners with the M276 and 4MATIC were the same for the most part too. **I notice in my GLK 350 with 7G Plus (identical combo in the W212), I can FEEL it shift on the 3-4 shift if I'm not giving any gas.

I took it to the dealer, and I think just to humor me, they performed shift adaptations on the 2-3 and 3-4 upshift. But I can still feel it shifting. I'm used to my Mercedes automatic transmission feeling extra slushy and smooth.

I can get used to the rough/clunky shift, but do you think it's causing damage? When I'm giving the car a decent throttle input, the shift is smooth. The issue is only there when the car upshifts without throttle (or extremely light throttle). Putting the car in Sport mode makes it not happen as much since it shifts later in the RPM range, and by then I'm ready to give it more gas. This is generally a stop and go traffic thing where you can get up to 20-25, then 5, then 15, then 0, then 20, etc. This car wants to be in 4th at 20 mph unless you are going up a hill!! All for MPGs I guess?

Dealer says no software updates are available for 2015 models. Do you all feel this harsh shift under light/no throttle instances (3-4)? If so, does it concern you?

Thanks!

Yes, I have noticed the same thing and it annoys and concerns me as well.
