E63 thinking of buying - NEED HELP
I had an 05 E55 back in the day and i loved that car but had to sell it 4 years ago. Now I am thinking about getting 2010-11 E63 with around 50k miles depending what I will find but that is what I will be looking for. Most likely no warranty unless i buy extended from a dealer. I did search the forum for help if it worth it and if the car breaks down a lot but most of the posting are OLD. Not looking to spend more than 40k. Can you guys tell me what to look for and what to expect ? Major problems ? Not worth it ? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you may be better off getting a fidelity warranty directly through them instead of paying the dealer. in most cases fidelity was priced better for longer period and same coverage.

2010 models have had head bolt issues. Also to 2011 comes with nicer dash and headliner. Because of these issues I purchased a 2011. Also, it may be difficult to fine a good 2011 E63 AMG with under 50,000 miles for less than 45,000.00 U. S dollars.

I will check out the headliner didn't know that there was a difference. Cheapest 2011 I found was 39,800

Read up on the head bolt problems with the 2010 6.2L. The dash in a 2011 is stitched leather. The 2011 has suede alcantara headliner Also check the options closely so you compare similarly equipped cars.
