CHECK Engine Oil at next refueling message after 8.6k mile !?!?!?

While driving back home from dinner tonight.
This message popped up !! "check engine oil at next refueling"

So, I checked the engine oil by using Oil dipstick...Its at "Min mark"

The car mileage is around 8600 mile...
I do drive the car very aggressively daily to work...And ECU is tuned.

Is it normal this message popped up now ??

And, I am going to get Mobil 1 0W-40 tomorrow.
Is it a good one for 2014 E550 ??

Any reply would be appreciated!!!

I got that message twice in over 40,000 miles on a close 550. The first time was at about the same mileage as you have. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens soon again.
They told me to use 5w40.

I just pour in 1 Liter of Mobil1 0w-40. I heard it is for AMG.
so, i thought that wouldn't matter.

Now, the oil mark is in between max and min.

Ecu and Piggyback boxes essentially pump more fuel and air and etc etc depending on how advanced yours is. They all will contribute to required 25% sooner maintenance and a high likelihood of early development of oil leaks at the V and oil cooler;

Besides, these "expert tuners" are playing with complicated formulas that make up the mixtures in these cars. Ive often heard these boxes/tunes can wind up being less effective than stock.

Also could be your driving habits overall during the first ten minutes... or something. Whatever besides leaks happen anyways even on stock ones. Just good to catch it early. I had a leak after a tune box (not necessarily FROM it, but certainly after it was installed/removed). ironically also right after an oil change. filter too. not tranmission though yet.

technically, it 'can' actually wind up making your engine not only work harder, develop odd characeristics and ultimately work worse off than stock. Not to mention durability losses.

i took mine off and it felt way better again. despite being a factual half second sprint slower to 60. i dont miss it.

thank you for your info.

I have checked mine, there was no leak at all.
It just simply needs to refuel the engine oil.

Also, after tuned, it has improved 1 full second in 0-60...3.5s is the best so far.
I really enjoy the performance after the tuned.

i got this same message twice...within a month. I have a 2010 E350...all stock.

The latest occurance was this evening. Oil and filter were changed 2000 miles ago. I always use Mobil 1 synthetic...0w-40.

When it first occurred a few weeks ago...I checked my oil level the next morning...it was clean and it was 3/4 on full (1/4 shy of max line).

Ill check again tomorrow morning.

Any ideas why this is happening?
