Oh don't you worry. When I lived in RI I had my windows tinted and it wasn't even legal there. I plan to tint the side windows and rear windshield as dark as legally possible and then add something to the windshield.
One thing I wanted to ask... the dealer I bought it from told me they have people who will tint with 3M material for about $150.. but that sounds crazy low to me.
When I had my car tinted back in RI (granted this was almost ten years ago) I paid like $350ish for it... is tinting really that much cheaper in FL?
I don't want to get crappy tint put on ...

The car I sold had Llumar metallic on it and it was still looking good after 8 years. But after moving from GA to FL, I felt I could use a little more heat rejection even though I was already at 35% (legal in GA) so I decided to spend a little more on ceramic which has slightly higher heat rejection than metallic.
I used the same tint shop the dealer outsources to. Dealing with the tint shop direct saved me $50 from what the dealer would charge. Windshield Llumar Air 80 was another $80 - had to deal direct for that anyway as dealer would not offer it as it is not legal. Glad I did that - noticed the biggest difference when the windshield was done.
