THANKS EVERYONE! Just drove home my new E550!
Thank you for helping me out with all my questions, I cannot thank you guys enough.
Just drove the car home, about an hour and a half drive from the dealer and I could not be happier with everything about it so far.
I'm actually excited for my drive from Miami to Orlando on Wednesday! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

Will do. At this point they've told me 3-6 weeks until the parts are in and then I can have the work done.

As far as the seat is concerned, they told me it's "fine the way it is".
I actually had a really bad day today so I was in quite a rush when I took delivery of the car. Overall i'm not hugely concerned but I do plan on bringing the items up again when I take the car in for wood trim. It's all documented by email because I actually copy and pasted your post and emailed it to them as a list of things I wanted corrected, so i'll get to that.
My drive isn't until 5AM Wednesday so it won't be tomorrow but you better believe i'll be testing out 100+ to see how it does...

Every time I would see an E class or whatever else on the road i'd think "man, you're paying that much for a SEDAN?" and it made no sense to me.
I've always wanted a sports car, was getting ready to buy a Porsche, so 0-60 / cornering was what got me going. That's what i'd spend money on.
Never expected to be this happy buying ride quality at highway speeds... but here I am.

When you mash the pedal on the 550 it roars and scoots like a scalded cat. At speed on the highway the suspension drops and it tracks like no other you have likely driven. It is a very special machine. I just drove 350 miles today from Chi to Sandusky, Ohio. I have 50,000 miles on mine and I never get tired of driving it.

Congrats man! You bought you a good classic car to be as the new ones look like space ships...
And this one is a sports monster camouflaged to be a sedan. Believe me, there will be all sorts of "rice burners" wanting to race you and you are able to teach them what the numbers 550 on your trunk lid mean. 90% of people around have no glue.
Enjoy your ride...I know you will...

One thing I wanted to ask... the dealer I bought it from told me they have people who will tint with 3M material for about $150.. but that sounds crazy low to me.
When I had my car tinted back in RI (granted this was almost ten years ago) I paid like $350ish for it... is tinting really that much cheaper in FL?
I don't want to get crappy tint put on ...
