car bumped and electronic nannies acting up
I have a 2014 E350 4matic wagon, fully loaded. It was parked in the street and someone parallel parking scraped the back left corner while trying to back into the space behind. The bumper and light were scuffed up, but I was able to wipe away pretty much everything except for a few scrapes on the light.
We have since driven the car several times. Most of the time it seems fine. Once while on a side street the car slammed to a stop and had a dash warning that the car had been hit. This morning, my wife told me that it declared the lane keeping and blind spot nannies inoperative.
Aside from the scrapes on the light, nothing looks off. The person who hit our car was good enough to leave a note. I don't want to deal with the hassle of going through his insurance or bringing it to a dealer if all else was well, but it seems something has been impacted. Does anyone have any experience with this or any advice?
