After 1 and 1/2 years I have finally had the ECO button reprogramed to shut off when car is started. I no longer have to push the button each and every time I turned the car on.

 

Well that post was so frigging helpfull to all people on the forum with the problem I can't stand it!!!

 

And how did you do that? I hate that button....

 

 

Everyone must ignore the ignorant and worthless arrie who is on my block list because of all the helpful tidbits and childish rants he has. If you ignore him he goes away but then he comes back like the plague. He Knows everthing but really does not and when you challenge him he gives up. Spend some time looking inside his profile. You will get an eye full There is nothing you can do, every forum has there bad eggs and he happens to be one on ours.

 

For those interested I went to mid city engineering in Chicago (312)421-1114. They almost exclusively work on Mercedes Benz cars. They install a module that they program with a laptop and it is gone. You can buy the module from them and have someone else install and program it. Most of there business is working with Mercedes Benz dealerships. I was waiting for someone to ask for the info but Mr. Ignorant arrie had his rant first which is normal for him. Just ignore what he says and eventually he goes away. I also had them install a front and rear camera that works while the car is running and when the car is parked. I did not want the feature for parking but you have to take it. It will work for 6 hours with motion sensors and then shuts down. If anyone wants more info please ask (that is anyone but arrie)

 

Where is the module installed?

 

Thanks for the info. Very interested but not too sure whether this can be done as I am located in South East Asia. Getting the module wouldn't be an issue but programming them definitely will be.

 

I had talked to them about it and they said they ship all over the world. They actually make the module. If you want I could call them tomorrow and ask for an email address and you can contact them that way. Thanks for the info. How do you like the forward camera while driving?

 

I did not want it displayed on my navigation system The unit they installed has its own screen. After a few seconds it goes blank but is still records on the computer chip that can be removed. I only wanted the camera to record on the chip both front and rear so I can prove what cause what happened. I hope I never have to take the chip out but it is there in case I need it. Also if the car is parked I have it record for up to six hours iof someone tampers with the car. IT has audio also

What the hell is the purpose of posting your first take on this topic??? Why would you not just post all of the information you have at the beginning to help others with the issue (I have no ECO button) and not just post a teaser to everybody that you have the solution but "you lower people" have to ask for it from you? You are a frigging sick person.

 

Cannot believe that stupid idiot arrie leaves messages when I already stated he is the only person on my block list. That means I have no idea what he is ranting about . Last time he ranted he was going to leave the forum. Well good riddance I do not believe anyone will miss his arrogant comments about members who needed help. This forum is supposed to be for helping fellow Mercedes Benz owners You should complement what they have done to there cars and help them if you can. Arrie does not . Why didn't you just post the whole story about how to disable the ECO-button to start with? Now you are doing it in numerous different posts after people ASK YOU about it.
