Oil Analysis

I drive only about 5K/year so I was curious about the recommended 1 year or 10K miles oil change cycle. At 1 year and 5K miles on the oil I had it analyzed and all was fine so I kept the oil in another year. As you can see from the analysis 2 year+ and >10K miles on the oil is well within safe reason. It's also good to see that after 40K miles no appreciable wear is taking place.

For what it costs (200 bucks) I would just put new oil in her every year. If you plan on keeping it a long time thats the best thing you can do

Yes - I have discovered the same thing using oil analysis - generally no need to change as often as the factory recommends, i.e. yearly unless it has alot of miles on the oil.
I change it yearly though to keep the warranty intact .
