2010 Mercedes E550 with Eisenmann Street Exhaust (Video)

A buddy of mine did buy an EISENMANN Street Exhaust a few weeks ago. The main difference to the RACE version: It is perfectly street legal in Europe! So he ordered this exhaust -the first made for the W212 E550- and EISENMANN wanted to install it last friday...however, due to problems at EISENMANN he picked up the exhaust last monday and installed it himself.

The exhaust itself is 100% plug and play and fits just perfectly. It consists of a mid resonator and both rear mufflers. Installation took us ~10 minutes!

The exhaust note itself is very deep when accelerating with -in my opinion- a bit of drone below 2000 rpm. At WOT it sounds extremly nice, without being too loud.

Keep in mind: It is brand new!

Thanks for this post. Been always been waiting to hear how an Eisenmann exhaust would sound on a V8 engine. It sounds pretty good and I am sure it will sound even better after breaking it in.

Perhaps post another vid at a later date.

Can you feel an increase in pull? How much do these exhaust go for?

The price tag was pretty high. 2,100 € ~ USD 2,300. However, all other systems in Europe are even more expensive and most are not even street legal.

Regarding power gains: Hard to tell. In order to here the sound, one tends to be a little heavier on the throttle...therefore the adaptive automatic transmission gets more agile and uses lower gears longer...so yes, the car feels stronger, but I guess this is due to the different shift pattern.

Can barely hear the car engine from the tire noise. What tires are under the car? POS Contis or even more POS Pirellis?
