Haunted E550
I recently bought a 2014 E550 sedan and it does something I just can't figure out. Whenever I go on one particular 1 mile stretch of road it makes a single "chime" sound, every time, and in either direction. It is not the same sound it makes when you open the door, for example, and this is the only time I hear it. No warning lights or messages appear, and it doesn't do it anywhere except this one location. It clearly doesn't hurt anything but I am just curious. Anyone have any ideas?

Check your NAV. You might have accidentally save that particular spot as a POI.
I've done that a few times when I was resting my palm on the command button and applied more pressure by accident and it saved the point of travel to the NAV and each time I travel pass that spot I hear a ding! It can be deleted.
