Those with Lighting Pkg (post 214 facelift) Please help explain setting

I love my lights, they are so bright! What are other benefits that I should be taking advantage of?

1. When I have to use my Hi Beam full time, I need to turn the light swith/round knob all the way to the right, one past the "auto" setting. Kind of annoying. I can't just push the stalk forward... since in Auto, that feature doesn't work. (is that right? what's Mercedes reason?) I drive some dark roads to get home at night.

2. There are five settings total on the light knob. From left to right:
P-Left (why? when do you use that setting? what does it look like on the car? I thought it was "off")
P- Right (Why? when do you use that setting? what does it look like?)
Next click - no clue what that does, I guess both parking lights are on?
Auto - Auto setting/on/off
High Beam - only setting where I can turn on high-beam by pushing the turn-signaal stalk forward. Annoying

What are some other good features that I am not taking advantage of? i guess my car doesn't need fog light? since LED is good enough during Lo-Beam?

Thanks!

You could turn the auto high beam feature off in the instrument cluster settings and the high beam stalk will toggle high/low beams when the lights are on in Auto mode like a conventional setup. It's probably easier to just turn the lights fully on to deactivate the auto high beam (Which is pretty functional, but sometimes frustrating under 35 MPH or when you want more light output)

P Left turns the parking lights on the left side of the car on (say if your on the right curb)
P Right turns the parking lights on the right side of the car on (for when your on the left curb)
Next is all parking lights, license plate, instrument cluster
Auto is auto on with auto high/beam when on
On is On with covential high/low toggling

So when the auto high beam feature is enabled through the instrument cluster, I will "still" need to push the stalk away/forward in order for high beam to come on automatically? (when the speed meets the minimum threshold)
If I disable the auto high beam feature through the instrument cluster, will the "Adaptive" feature of high beam still work? so I don't blind the car in front or on-coming traffic?

Yes, adaptive only works when enabled in the menu and with the stalk pushed forward. With it disabled, adaptive does not work and high beams stay on when the stalk is pushed forward.

I leave mine in adaptive (enabled and pushed forward) and it works well on roads without street lights. When there is even a little ambient light from street lamps, they don't come on for me so I just turn the dial as you described.
