40k B Service
Well here's something I didn't know... I thought I would have my 40 k tranny service along with a regular B Service. SA told me my 2011 e350 has blue tranny fluid therefor I'm not due for tranny service until 70k. If my 722.9 tranny had red fluid then I would have been done now at 40 k. So today my B Service along with a 4 wheel alignment and a NYS Inspection cost me $603.00 BTW since I belong to MBCA I also receive a 20% discount. WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF THE DUES

Yours must be special. My 2011 E550 had the tranny service done at 40k. Due next at 80k. This changed with the later models to 70k intervals and I seem to recall at least one post on hear where an SA got that wrong. Not trying to waste your time or money, but I would doublecheck the maintenance manual on mbusa and then show it to them. If what they tell you differs from the maint. manual, I'd get it in writing.

Funny you should say that.....on the service request sheet it said "customer request transmission service as per MB specification. Drain and refill transmission fluid. Replace filter and pan gasket, includes new pan stretch bolts for 722.9 trans. Schedule maintenance.. vehicle has blue fluid and isn't time for trans fluid to be changed. NOT AT THIS TIME".
