2011 E350 KEY BATTERY REPLACE
Hey guys I got 2011 e-350 when I get in to my car my dash says replace the key battery. So I did put a brand new battery in the key. When I got back in to the car, same thing replace key battery. Why I get that? any ideas> thanks

No worries it happens (spelling errors). I wonder if you just got a dud battery as others have said. Let us know what happens. I didn't even know that MBs alert you to key battery being low. I hope my model and year does since I only have one Key FOB and doubt the dealer I got it from has the extra either.

Yes, you will get a pop up warning each time you start up that will say "replace key battery". It comes on pretty early, so you have time to replace the battery. You just stab the hard key into the body of the FOB and the battery cover pops off. Tip it over and the battery falls out. You can buy the batteries at Walgreens or anywhere else for $3-$4. I have Keyless Go and my batteries last around a year. I had purchased a group of 2025 batteries on Ebay some years back and they all went dead, so I have experience with installing a dead battery into a good Key Fob.
