Sorry for Cross posting but not a lot or traffic in the 207 forums

Is it thicker than the standard Steering Wheel ?

Bought a 2016 E550 Cab for my wife and she is tiny with small hands. We took a long drive recently and her hands hurt... not sure if its the thickness of the wheel or just the shape.... or she just needs to get used to it...

Thinking ahead that if the standard wheel is thinner is it a direct swap ? The controls look the same on the mbusa site....

Anybody done this swap ?

Thanks

Mike

I believe the AMG sport steering wheel is thicker and smaller than the non AMG. Some people have made this direct swap, but its usually the other way around. You might also need a new airbag too.

Why don't you just get your OEM steeringwheel custom flatted and re-leathered?
It's cheaper and you can combine perforated leather in all kind of colors.

Correct G-Man but I could have been clearer, we have the Flat Bottom Sport Wheel and she thinks it might too thick for her small hands.

Gonna let it ride for awhile but figured it didn't hurt to do the research know in case we go that way

Thanks Mike
