E250 CDI stalls on reverse / cold start
Hey guys, I'm really needing you help. My 2010 E class 250cdi is stalling for 2 years now, and mercedes is struggling to find the reason. They have replaced some electronic components of the gear box but still the same happens. In winter when I start the car in cold weather the car stalls when i put reverse. I have made a video of this I will upload to youtube so you can see.

My E550 has stalled once or twice when I tried to put it in gear before it is fully started (hit the gear selector immediately after hitting the start button) I'm better at giving it a second to put it in gear. Although I'm guessing your problem is more severe.

sorry for the time it took but had some issues uploading. Mercedes has replaced some kind of electric component on the gearbox but still the same is happening, but now the think it might be the torque converter.... helppp please...

Mmh it's not a good thing that even in MB weren't able to find a quick solution...I can't help you but you can ask on our italian forum where this engine is common and well known,surely the staff could give you some good advice!

Have exactly the same problem with cold start stalls on reversing unless it runs for 10 minutes...If outside temperature is over 30c no problem. Has anyone resolved this torque converter has been mentioned but think failed to solve
