Chrome Trim removal on Sport Models
Hello dear MB owners
now before you attack me about searching the form, I did and it was HELPFUL ALOT..
I'm not talking about chrome trim on side doors, that can be removed easily with a tooth floss. which I did and looks even better
I would like to black-wrap (remove?) the chrome around 4 side windows..
any one did that?
pics will definatly help
attached my converted E300 to E63, only chrome needs to be removed...

The chrome siding on the top of windows are pretty easy to remove. I snapped mine off and plastidipped them black. Used about 5 coats, then just snapped them back on.
The bottom portion of the window is not as easy to remove so I just taped them up and plastidipped.

Shadowline is the way to go.
Plasti dip looks cheap there.
And shadowline has a matte black or glossy black finishes , pick yours and wrap away.
Had mine (matte) for atleast 2 years if not more.. still looks new like in the day i wrap it.
Good luck

I did trimbrite at first as it's cheaper and easy to use. But I changed all to 3M 1080 gloss black to match the front grill. It just takes a lot of patience and a big roll to do the top trim in one piece. Definitely worth the money and time though
