Convince me an E Series is better than a 5 Series BMW or Audi A6

Getting back to the question
I am a long time BMW guy, having owned more than 15 over the last 30 years. Decided to try an Audi about 3 years ago and bought an A6. Really like the car but my wife hates the front seats, says they are very uncomfortable on long rides. Seriously considering an E Series and there seem to be some good buys right now. I plan to test drive one next week. What should I expect and why should I buy one? Thanks.
The E350 with comfort suspension (Luxury) is going to ride better than the Sports version. A Lexus E350 or LS460 will ride very well, but the ES is based on a Toyota Avalon and the LS is very expensive.
Went on a road trip with a friend yesterday. He has ridden in my car lots of times and for long distances. We were talking at end of trip and he, his wife and grandson all assumed my car had leather. His car does have leather. Everybody who has ever seen or ridden in my car assumes it has leather. After six years, it is wearing magnificently. No tears, no blemishes, no fading, no wear. About once per year I treat the interior with Vinylex, but that's it.

We've had 2 Audis. An A5 Prestige Plus and a Q7. Seats are universally terrible, base leather may as well be vinyl.
I asked an Audi rep why the seats were so bad. He claimed it was a safety feature, because the less comfortable seats keep the driver alert. Now you know if they've already rehearsed that little bit of convoluted bull****, they deal with objections about the seats A LOT.
No question the Asian S Class knock offs ride soft. They should, because the suspension is intentionally spongy, and while they're smooth on the highway in a straight line, around town they wallow like a 70's Buick. An air suspension manages to stay soft, then firm up rapidly when pushed.
They also swaddle the car in tons of sound deadening material. It gives the car a solid sounding "thunk" when you close the door, but the S Class solution is to build a car that's actually solid.
If you want a genuine luxury car ride and feel, find a 2010+ S Class, or an 11 or 12 CPO. For the OP, go drive some cars and convince yourself.

Just got an email from Consumer Reports re: Best Value based on their surveys. The respondents ranked the Genesis G80 as Best Value in mid-size luxury cars. It compared very favorably to competitors, but at a much lower cost to purchase and to own.
This is not CR's opinion, but that of the people in the survey.
Just providing this as food for thought.

I never own a bmw, just because i dont like them. ONly X5 and 645 look good to me, everything else looks the same to me.
Seats you, or your wife, wont like, but car itself is amazing,i cant compare because i never drove a bmw.
For sure you can switch it up and cheat on bmw for a bit who knows, you might like the change
