Question 2014 E350 Sport (P1) headlight beam alignment

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a used 2014 E350 Sport (P1 package), and noticed that the headlight beams are off. To my knowledge, the headlight bulbs have not been changed and were factory installed (so I am not sure how the alignment got off to begin with, but anyway....).

Does anyone know how to align the beams - both vertically and horizontally? If you can share pictures/photos, that would be great.

Thanks!

Can you post a wall shot of your light beams on a flat vertical wall from about 25 ft distance. That way we all will be on the same page.

They can only be adjusted up and down. If they are off then there probably was body damage.

The only way to properly align modern headlights is with a machine - manual DIY alignments never get it right.

Take it to someone with correct equipment.
In 2010 at first service, I asked dealer to check it. SA said that they were adjusted low at factory and tech raised them as high as they could. There was a noticeable improvement.
There is also a left/right adjustment for both headlights and you don't want to mess that up.

Thanks for the replies. To be on the safer side, I will just get them checked at an indy shop when I am there for the next scheduled maintenance/service.

I agree that there was probably body damage at some point otherwise they would be fine. there should be some sort of set screw to adjust for up and down. Car should be still under warranty. I would just bring it into dealer and ask them to adjust it.

For the sake of information would you mind sharing photos of your lights as described so that we can at least comprehend what's going on...? Thanks.
